But if you want to see some of the hilarious truths behind what it takes to have a 1-year streak, keep reading.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8171 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/spcdn.shortpixel.ai\/spio\/ret_img,q_cdnize,to_webp,s_webp\/www.candyboxmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/house-construction.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Milestones we reached in a year<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Kristina\u2019s house going from foundation to a stake in the ground, to walls of a house<\/li>\n<li>Julia\u2019s first Jays game<\/li>\n<li>Dates nights (with our actual significant others)<\/li>\n<li>Julia\u2019s bridal showers, bachelorette &amp; wedding, Honeymoon\/driving across the country<\/li>\n<li>Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, family events<\/li>\n<li>Snapping through a 200km+ bike ride from Toronto to Niagara<\/li>\n<li>Cat pictures&#8230;cause obviously<\/li>\n<li>Lunches, because #food<\/li>\n<li>New office space for Candybox<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8172 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/spcdn.shortpixel.ai\/spio\/ret_img,q_cdnize,to_webp,s_webp\/www.candyboxmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Julia-with-dog.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>What it takes to get to a 365-day streak<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Snapping pictures of each other while we are in the same room to not ruin the streak<\/li>\n<li>Pictures of keyboards for those days even a filter can\u2019t fix our faces<\/li>\n<li>Texting each other to \u201cSNAP ME\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The uglier the snap, the closer the friendship<\/li>\n<li>No matter the hour, no matter where we were, get that snap in&#8230;even on your wedding day<\/li>\n<li>Having 1 conversation on Snapchat and a totally different conversation on text<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8173 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/spcdn.shortpixel.ai\/spio\/ret_img,q_cdnize,to_webp,s_webp\/www.candyboxmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/cat-in-a-blanket.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>What did we learn?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8230;Snapchat is great<\/li>\n<li>It brought us closer together. We get little clips of each other\u2019s nights every night &#8211; manicures, rock climbing, dinner making, etc<\/li>\n<li>Our significant others adapted really quick \u201cyou should snap this\u201d \u201cdid you snap this?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Snapchat became our new daily app, we went on Snapchat before any other app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>We started on this journey before&#8230;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Groups were available<\/li>\n<li>Rear camera filters were added<\/li>\n<li>Bitmoji was acquired by Snapchat<\/li>\n<li>Memories were added<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Woah.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8169 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/spcdn.shortpixel.ai\/spio\/ret_img,q_cdnize,to_webp,s_webp\/www.candyboxmarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Julia-Kristina-365-e1511798172884.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"412\" height=\"366\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Will we continue?<\/h3>\n<p>They say it takes 21 days to create a habit, and we are 17 times that. It\u2019s now a daily necessity.
