New Feature Allows Facebook Pages to Schedule Posts
Facebook recently added an exciting new feature to provide Facebook Page users with a time management solution. Administrators can now pre-schedule posts up to 6 months in advance and can consistently post on the page every 15 minutes apart.
Let’s take a look at how it works:
On your Facebook Page status, there is a new clock icon on the bottom left corner. Click that icon to start scheduling.
Once you select the icon, you will be promoted to select a year, then a month, then a date, then a time. Once you have picked your desired date, it will look similar to this:
Now your post is ready to go! Select ‘Schedule’ and let Facebook work its magic!
Your Facebook Page will now prompt you with a message that will look similar to this:
Note that the schedule is created according to your time zone. The great thing about this feature is that you can edit or cancel the post at any time by visiting your activity log. To do that, simply select ‘view activity log’ and you will be directed to a screen that looks like this:
The activity log will not only show you the upcoming scheduled posts, but also allow you to edit each one if you wish.
Our Suggestion
Although you can save a lot of time by pre-scheduling your posts on your Facebook Page, it is critical to remember the main concept of social media. Engaging your fans is the number one priority, so don’t let this great tool prevent you from interacting with your community and building relationships. If you will let this tool run 100% of your Facebook Page, then you might as well pick up an automated telemarketing device and start dialing numbers.
