Are Facebook Pages taking over Websites?

Remember way, way, way back when the Internet started? OK, so maybe I used too many “ways” in that description. But, how many of you remember AOL? How many of you remember eWorld? Anyone?

When the Internet first started to become commercialized, the strategy seemed to be for companies to become the entire World Wide Web experience for their members. Companies like AOL and eWorld gave away millions of free disks for people to load the software onto their computers and this software because the gateway to the Internet. Only, they really didn’t let you go onto the entire Internet. They just kept you within their software/domain confines and brought everything to you and called it the World Wide Web.

We quickly got away from this portal system as companies realized that they could get their own domain name and market their www to the entire world.

So, are we in the midst of a “everything is cyclical” moment? Is Facebook trying to get us to do our entire Internet experience on the Facebook.com domain and nowhere else? If you watch TV at all or browse around the Internet for news or entertainment you are sure to come across companies promoting their Facebook Pages. Not their domain any longer. Just their Facebook page with a vanity URL. For example, you can see Candybox Marketing at www.Faceobook.com/CandyboxMarketing. Have you checked it out?

Here is a basic overview for a Facebook page strategy. We can now create an entire marketing experience for prospects and clients all within your companies Facebook page. We can build pages that do the following:

Graphical landing pages with a specific call to action
• Play a video to highlight your product or service
Capture leads with forms so your prospects can request information
• Capture leads with an auto-responder so prospects can request and receive PDF Whitepapers, pricing, etc.
• Integrate pre-loaded Share buttons so your friends can promote your business to all their FB friends
• And we are creating new functionality all the time

Here are a few of our client sites that you can check out.

well i would not say that facebook is taking over websites. Websites have their own role to play in business. But yes facebook plays a vital role in generating leads as today millions of users are the members of facebook. So you can easily promote your business and products among millions of users just by promoting them on facebook. its simple and interesting.
Prospects can interact with you without any inconvenience.
